Text Size and Columns
If you need larger text and more space to touch numbers in the grid, you can adjust the text size and number of columns.
In iOS, open the Settings tab and choose “Text size and columns”.
In Android, from the grid view, open the options menu (look for three vertical dots in the upper-right corner) and select “Text size and columns”.
To change the text size of the numbers, remove the check from Use Default Text Size (Android) or turn off the Use Default Text Size switch (iOS). Then you can drag its sliding button left and right.
To change the number of columns, remove the check from Use Default Number of Columns (Android) or turn off the Use Default Number of Columns switch (iOS). Then you can drag its sliding button left and right. The maximum number of columns is 10.
Quick Notes
When you find that you use the same text repeatedly in your notes (for example, your favorite topics to discuss or your favorite publications from the teaching toolbox), you can turn it into a quick note. Quick notes appear in a row that you can scroll above the text field when you are creating a note, and they allow you to tap the text to add it to the text field instead of typing it all out.
To create a quick note, open Settings. In iOS, open the Settings tab. In Android, open the navigation drawer. (Use the “hamburger” menu button, three stacked lines, in the upper left corner of the home screen.) Select “Settings”.
In Settings, select “Manage quick notes”. Choose if you want the quick note to appear in the first, second, or third row and press the add button below the row’s label. In the dialog box, type in the text for the Quick Note and press “Add Quick Note”.
Language
If you need the app use a language other than the system language of your tablet or phone, you can set it to another language. You can go to Settings and select “Language”.
Currently, the languages you can select are…
- English
- Spanish
- Portuguese
- Italian
- French
- Greek
- Macedonian
Toast Messages (Android only)
When you’re in the grid view, “toast messages” appear at the bottom of the screen to confirm what you just recorded for a house number. For example, you may see “House 20: not at home”, “House 40: return visit”, or “House 60: do not call”.
If you find this distracting, you can disable it in Settings. To disable toast messages, tap the switch next to “Use toast messages in grid view”.
